Anti-ragging Cell

A Safe Start for Every Student

Starting college should feel comfortable, not intimidating. At Malwa Group of Institutions, we make sure every student feels welcome from day one. Ragging in any form is strictly not allowed, and we take this seriously.

No student should feel uncomfortable, pressured, or singled out. The campus is meant to be a place where you can settle in, make connections, and focus on your studies without fear.

What We Mean by Ragging

Ragging is not just extreme behaviour. Even small actions can cross the line.

It includes:

  • Teasing or making fun of someone in a way that makes them uncomfortable
  • Forcing someone to do things they don’t want to do
  • Using language or behaviour that feels insulting or threatening
  • Creating pressure just because someone is new
  • Any act that affects a student’s confidence or sense of safety

If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t.

How We Handle It

We follow a very clear approach. No confusion, no delay.

  • Any complaint is taken seriously
  • Students can report without fear
  • Identities are kept confidential
  • Action is taken quickly after review
  • The campus is regularly monitored

The aim is simple — stop the issue early and make sure it doesn’t repeat.

Anti-Ragging Committee

There is a dedicated Anti-Ragging Cell that looks after this. Faculty members and staff are part of the committee, and they stay actively involved across campus.

If something happens, you don’t have to deal with it alone. There is always someone to speak to.

If You Need to Report Something

Don’t wait or ignore it.

  • Reach out to the Anti-Ragging Cell
  • Speak to a faculty member you trust
  • Use the official complaint channels
  • Inform the administration directly

Even if you’re unsure, it’s better to report than stay silent.

What Happens If Someone Is Found Involved

The consequences are serious.

Depending on the situation, actions may include:

  • Suspension
  • Removal from the institution
  • Cancellation of admission
  • Further action as per regulations

These rules are in place to protect students, and they are enforced properly.

A Simple Message

College life should begin on the right note. Respect each other. Give space. Be supportive.

A good environment doesn’t happen on its own — students create it together.

No ragging. No pressure. Just a better start for everyone.
