New Malwa Institute of Nursing:
With the aim of development and with a dream of imparting quality education especially to the girls in the field of nursing, Late Dr. Ravinder Singh had come up forward with an idea to develop the healthcare sector and education standards of the Faridkot region and had laid the foundation of Malwa Educational society registered under the Society Registration Act (XXI of 1860).
Initially a dispensary had been started at Kotkapura (Distt. Faridkot) to provide healthcare services to the poor patients and provide quality nursing care and in subsequent years, many educational institutes have been established. Later on, the first private nursing institute had been established in 2000 which was ‘Malwa College of Nursing’ and different nursing programs had been started.
In the following successful years of providing educational services, another nursing institute has been established which is ‘New Malwa Institute of Nursing’ by New Malwa Educational Society in 2010 which is located at Kotkapura in Faridkot, Punjab. It is one of the best nursing college over there that is specialized in nursing and midwifery courses. The institute is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot and approved by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and is affiliated to Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Punjab Govt. The main motive of establishing this institute is to provide effective & efficient nursing education to cater the rising demand of nurses and midwives in healthcare industry.
The institute was opened with the aim to deliver the high standard education to the candidates and train them into a well-qualified nurses who can efficiently fulfil their job responsibility when they join hospital or any healthcare centre. Excellent infrastructure, equipped classes and laboratories all together will enhance the overall learning experience of the students and make them gain excellency in the healthcare field. Our well qualified and experienced team of nursing faculties have done lots of research and development in the healthcare industry and possess lot of experience in imparting quality education to the candidates.
The nursing courses at this institute included the General Nursing and Midwifery program and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife program and the subjects that these program consists are Biological Science, Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Behavioural Science, Psychology, Sociology, Fundamentals of Nursing and First Aid. We hope to be a main contributor to bring improvement in the healthcare industry by delivery efficient workforce to this industry that could meet the rising demand.
